Hey guys my strange 12 bolt is arriving in like 2 weeks and since ill be putting brakes off an lt1 on my car i wanna upgrade to steel braded brake lines. Are the brake lines needed for the new brakes going to be the same size and length as my stock ones?? If so im just going toi order Earls steel braided kit. ive posted this questiion twice once in the TPI forum and then in the brake board and no one seems to know. i also called pontiac and chevy and they told me that they were different but didnt know the dimensions and strange told me that "the stocks will probably work" since its gonna cost me 100 to order the kit from Earls i wanna know for sure if the lines will fit??

so your gettting a strange? ive had mine for about 5 months now. and why do you want steel braided brake lines? they dont do anything but look nice. its a waste fo money in my opinion. and by the way what gear did you order? any extras? i ordered 3.73, extra strength posi, extra strength aluminum gurdle, and the billet disc brake brackets. all i can say is the thing is freakin awesome. i have yet to put my new engine/trans into my car but with a stock 305/t5 and the mods in my sig. i went from a 16.8 (before strange) to a 15.5. pretty sweet if you ask me. anyways good luck.

ps might want ot paint you rearend with some high temp paint so that it doesnt show rust build up.

i actually could care less about how the steel braided lins look, i just want them for their performance over regular lines since the rubber lines tend to flex, also the fronts are 65 from earls but if u buy the front and back package its only 100 so why not match for 35$. i ordered 3.42 gears and mine already comes with the extra strength posi. but i ran out of cash and didnt order any of the lightweight extras. Those results you got off just the 12 bolt sound awesome too bad i wont get as much performance cuz my GTA already has 3.27s. But ya when you put urs in did you just reuse your stock brake lines or put in new ones that were the same size as stock??

come on some1s gotta know, ive searched a bunch and cant find info, theres only info for the ls1 brakes and ive called the dealership and strange and cant get an answer. Someones gotta know from installing their own rearend??Help me out guys
