I drive 1991 Firebird. When I put it in (D) the car just trows forward but when u put it to just D its ok. I have a small leak under the transmission box. I haven't put it on lift yet ( just bought it 2 days ago), but the seller said it was just a transmission gasket (hope so). Well just asking an experienced driver.

 

What does it idle at? Have you checked the TV cable adjustment?

 

First It idleled at ~1000 now my dad and I did cleaned the carb. and replaced air filter. Its much quieter and idles at ~500 and when its not hot, goes down to ~400. No I have not checked the TV cables cuz I have no idea what are those, I'll ask my dad tonight and I might put it on a lift tomorrow or 2 days from now.
