S10 bellhousing
I have a 85 bird witha v65 and 5 speed, what i would like to know is if when i swap to a v8 and sag from a 83 maro can i just use a 4.3 litre s10 bellousing?, the motor going in is a 400 sbc with the factory biggar flywheel, and i was just hopin to save my self the work of either converting to the manual linkage that i got with the tranny, or having to find another flywheel and balance plate , and a t5 bellhousing. Thanks in advance.

Yes a 4.3 V6 bellhousing is the only V6 bellhousing that will bolt up to the V8. Not sure about the flywheel though. It is probably only big enough for a 153 tooth flywheel. It's easy to check, just pull the inspection plate and see how much room you have from the teeth to the housing.
