TH350 torque converter seating ?

Ok when i install my th350 tranny after seating the converter, the converter is about 1/2" from the flexplate with the bolt housing bolted to the motor.

Is this right? I have to pull the converter out 1/2" to bolt it to the flexplate.

Also i just replaced the front seal and i still have problems with fluid being thrown/ dripping/ dumping from behind the converter. Is the front pump messed?

Yeah, that's about right. The bolts will pull the converter toward the flexplate about 1/2-3/8"

Still having a leaky front pump seal? Does the seal use a retainer? If so was it reinstalled? What did the converter snout look like? I usually polish these with some light emery cloth aroudn 600 gritt before putting the converter in. This ensures no nicks or burs. Some companies send the converters out with the snout painted, so I clean all the paint off first, and then polish.

If everything else is good then there may be a problem in the pump. On 700R4s I drill out the feed passage behind the seal to a slightly larger size and oblong the hole a little to help keep the seal from blowing out. TH350s are very similar to a 700R4, so if nothing else seems to work that might be an option.
