t56 questions/problems

ok i got the t56 in. and i am having problems with the slave cylinder and using my existing pedals. the end of the cable loop seems to be wider and not letting a bushin fit in. i was thinkin of just using the top half of the old slave and re-fitting the new hose to work? any ideas or what you did to make 4th gen slave work with 3rd gen pedals. also, when i pulled the tranny i had to unplug two connectors. one was vss. the other i think is the reverse lights. now my question is. the t56 has 3 vss, lights, and lockout. what do i need to do to wire the lockout and what do i need to change to get those other pluged in. it was originally a t5 v6 car. i got the sig-5b box. i just need help getting all this in place.

thankfully
brock

well, if you bought mine it would be on right now jk

I took and ground one side of the rod (the round end) until it was the same thickness as the bushing. then I slid the thirdgen bushing in the hole. it's just that simple

my trans had the lock out sensor removed when I got it but, most seem to wire it to the brake lights so you have to be hitting the brakes to shift into rev.

I can tell you though that you will want to run a new vss wires to the trans and dakota box (the factory wires pick up interferance) don't forget to twisted the wires the whole way. and the box-I mounted mine near the pcm since all the wires for the cruise, dash, pcm and power ect, were right there (took another buffer box and soldered the wires to it so I didn't cut any but, that's just the way I wanted to do it.

the reverse lights are simple just hook them up

you can remove and plug the skip shift sensor

I used the stock fourth gen bushing and drilled it out to fit over the third gen pedals pin. Then ground the width of the bushing down to match. Worked A1 for six years.
