I have a 1982 Camaro with 350 engine and th350 trans. Trans won't engage into any gear at all. It did 2 nights ago. Fluid is normal. Shifter cable is fine. What could be the problem I am trying to fix a pinging problem with engine, now tranny won't engage. I am trying to get car going for the woodward cruise here in michigan. I've missed it last 3 years. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated I am all out of ideas

Mine engages but after 5 seconds when put in gear lol. Maybe it has something to do with pressure inside but best to take it to somebody so they can check it out.
