I have just replaced the T5 tranny in my 84 z28 with a T5 tranny out of a 87 and was wondering if anyone can tell me how to change it to a cable speedometer. The speedometer runs off of a cable and the new tranny has a plug for electronic speedometer. Any help would be great. I know this is simaliar to another post I just read only i need to step back in technology instead of advance. Thanks Shawn

 

I had to do the same thing If you still have the old tranny just swap the pickups . If I remember it's just like a distributor hold down . Loosen the calor and turn counterclockwise . I dout your speedo gears are the same . But it should screw right in , mine did .
