torque convertor lock out switches?
I have an 89 Iroc convert with a problem with stalling at a stop light. Someone told me it could be the t/c lock out switches on the brake pedal. Well the question is...what do the switches look like or could someone post a pic of them?/? please!!! It is a very annoying problem. It runs great while driving , but come to a stop and it dies out on me.

texas, this site has a pic of the switch. it is about halfway down the page. it is referring to a conversion to an older vehicle but the switch is the same. it is a tcc brake switch.

Disconnect the torque converter electrical connector at the transmission and drive it around to see if the problem is still there. I'd bet it's not the brake switch.

Thanks for the info , I will check both things out. If I unplug the switch at the trans , will it harm anything if I leave it unplugged or what if if it runs better with it unplugged, what would that mean?
Thanks

You don't want to do a lot of cruising with it unplugged, it will make the transmission run hotter. If your car still stalls when you stop with the connector unplugged, it would suggest that your problem isn't with the TCC.
