well today i fixed a vacuum leak on my car. it fixed my high idle and my a/c vents. later in the day i was going to take my car to get a pack of cigs, but when i walked out into the garage there was a nice pool of tranny fluid. i just turned around and walked outside to another car of mine. after i got back and had a smoke i decided to find out where this fluid came from. following the path it ended up and the front of the engine on the passanger side. it wasnt leaking from where it connects to the radiator, but it was leaking from that line a little bit farther down there is something that isnt listed in my manual. one of the rubber tubes that go into this akordian (sp?) cylinder thing... what is this thing?

 

sounds like your car has an aftermarket cooler that is leaking.

 

no its not a cooler, it looks sorta like some type of filter. i guess ill figure out what it is when i pull it off.
