Does anybody know how to remove a B&M shift cable

Does anybody know how to remove a B&M shift cable
has anyone here taken off your B&M shift linkage? i got it off of the shifter (it was binding so i got a new one) but i cant figure out how to get it off of the trans. thanks

First you have to unhook the end from the L shaped bracket. It usually has a cotter pin holding it on there. Then there are 2 big nuts holding the cable to the bracket that's mounted to your pan. Remove the one closest to the end of the cable then you can slide it out of there. You might have to remove one or both of those rubber sleeves to get it to slide through.......

ok, the end of the cable nearest to the trans has a threaded end and it is almost impossible to thread out. do i have to remove the bracket to get it out?
