I have a 700R4 and bought a Transgo shift kit for it recently. I am waiting to buy a converter so I can just do everything at once. I have read before that people that do this kit, still do a corvette servo and .500 boost valve. Why is this? Maybe the specs are a little better than the kit's specs, but wouldn't Transgo design the kit's components to work ideally with each other rather than some parts theres and some parts that weren't? Just wondering because I know Transgo makes a very quality kit for these trannies, yet I still see people doing these mods. Also, is there any other recommendations you guys have for building up my 700R4? Pro-Built Automatics rebuild kits always catch my eye, but I don't think I have the money to bring it to a shop to have somebody do it, and not sure if I know a shop I can trust to do it right.
