auto to 5 spd swap

i have an 85 camaro with a th350 in it and i was wondering how involved a swap to a t5 would be? what all would i have to change, my couisn has an 87 that had a t5 in it and he would give me the cluch and flywheel also all the pedal and linkage and hydraulics stuff except the actuall tranny, prolly the crossmember too. so all i would need would be a tranny and a bell housing right? is my driveshaft reusable? how much do u think all this stuff would run me? everything from my cuz would be dirt cheap like 10 bucks for all that so yeah, also how long do u think it would take me to drop it in and get it fine tuned?? mabey a weekend? i hope i covered everthing, let me know if i didnt thanks guys

Depending on what headers you have, you may have a problem with them fitting around the slave cylinder. Also, I think (not positive) that the t-5 ( I assume that is what you are getting) uses a different starter because the flywheel is small and has only 153 teeth. This starter is twice the cost of yours ( about $70). Again I may be wrong but I've been doing some changes myself and I have found that the T-5 installation is very unique. It's a great tranny though. I pulled my boat with it and a 305 for almost two years with no problem whatsoever. Now I'm going 383 but keeping the T-5.

driveshaft will fit, no need to change it. you can do it in a weekend if you know what your doing, you should be able to get JUST the tranny and bellhousing for like 300-400 $ for a half descent one
