Transmission problem!

Hello, I did some searching and found I think quite a few that "could" be my problem, but Im not sure, so I wanted to make a post. That being said, we were unsure about the transmission and how it would hold up after the engine rebuild, but due to money and time constraints, went with the stock 700R4. Its actually been driving great, I get on it a bit, not constantly and I dont rag it out. Over the last few weeks it started "sliding" into overdrive (would rev up to like 6k if I didnt let off the gas a bit and let it shift). So today im driving down the road and it shifts out of first fine and then at the 2nd shift point it doesnt shift at all, it just revs up like its in nuetral. It drives fine in 1st and 2nd on the bottom, but of course I cant drive it around like that all the time. It does this in normal drive also, and in overdrive. Any idea whats wrong and what my options would be? Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it!

Thanks for diagnosing that problem. My next question would be if a rebuild of the stock trans would be enough, or should I go with a reman one from TCI? Basic engine rebuild I think, bored .030 over, crankshaft balanced and polished, forged pistons, LT4hotcam, tri angle valve job on the heads, thats about it I think for the major things. So would just a good rebuild hold up to this? Thanks again!

you should be ok with a rebuild. get the rebuild kit from B&M and spend 25 dollars and put in a new servo. tell them to replace the o-ring on the detent cable mine is leaking right now.
