my trannys now dead and im thinkin about puttin in a t56 casue i like the 6 spd idea. how hard is this to do? how about like a ttl cost? will pedals from a 4th gen fit? i have an 85, what about a parts list? can i use the same drive shaft? how about the yolk? crossmember? so ill need a bellhousing, cluchplate, throw out bearing, pressure plate, clutch fork,pedals,slave/master cyl. and of course, the tranny, is that all??? thanks guys later

lots of topics on this, stock driveshaft will work, you need a new crossmember tho, either custom made, or one which was specially made for this idea, i think www.skulte.com has one, they also have details on the 6 speed swap.

its pretty much a direct bolt in.

i think the 4th gen will fit but, if i remember correctly you have to removed the gas pedal from the brake or becuase they are attached, i forget. 3rd gen's are easier to put in.

Aside from the previously mentioned crossmember and the hole you have to cut/widen in the tunnle for the shifter, yes

yeah you need to cut 2" more back, where the shifter sits, but yeah it does bolt right up
