slow shifts

my car shifts good at about 1/4 throttle but when i get over that it takes a long time once it starts to shift, the shift point is good but the actual shift is crappy expecially 2-3 my rpm will go up between the shift and everything will a shift kit take care of this

Go to http://www.700r4l60e.com/store/custo...&cat=28&page=1 this should do the job if the 3-4 clutches are still good shape.

If you've got slipping between shifts which it sounds like you do your bands are probably taking some wear. First thing is get teh transmission flushed get that old fluid out of there, that could buy you some time before it fails. As for stickin in a shift kit, its a good idea ONLY if the bands are in good shape. Otherwise you'll find yourself stranded on the side of the road.

i took this tranny out of my rs and it only had like at most 30,000 on it and it is computer controlled lock up. I put it in my 86 iroc which i just put a 355 in and it dosent have a computer, but that should only control the lockup. I ran the tranny for the first 500 without the tv cable hooked up and then hooked it up. Maybe that did it.
