Ijust installed a 385 Fastburn crate motor and a BTO 700 into my 82 TA. motor runs great but normal driving trany doesn't shift into 2nd. intill about 23-25 MPH, 2-3 seems late also. WOT shifts seem ok. TV cable is adjusted per BTO and have just started playing with the adj. bracket on the carb but it doesn't seem to have much affect on the 1-2 shift. Just wondering if any had any ideas. Using their TV EZ carb plate and they said pressures were ok. Could't find much about this on the board. Thanks

 

shift timing is controlled more by the govenor than anything else. i would check it to see if it was sticking. btw, what is "bto"?

govenor controls all shift points.
