Tranny problem!

hi, I have a driveability problem with my car, and mainly I can't do a burnout. If I hold the brake and floor the car in 1st it will revv up to 1000 rpm and stay there, bog down a bit.
I used to be able to do some serious burnouts without even touching the brake, now I can't even do it with holding the brake.

Also, I've messed with the TV cable and sometimes the car fells good after about 1500 RPM.

I have a 3.23 rear end from a camaro in my firebird and I am wondering if I have some problems with it.
ALso, sometimes I hear some a bit of grind (very fast and subtle from my left rear tire.

What do you think the problem is???

Whats the odor and color of the tranny fluid? Also did you adjust the TV cable after messing with it? If not you might have roasted the trans.

I set it up just like they explained in the tech article. It shifts fine and firm, and it downshifts no problem. It works great if you ask me, but I am really no tranny expert.
