I THINK THAT YOU ARE RIGHT W/THE 30 SPLINES, AS I REMEMBER REBUILDING THE 700 IN MY 90 L98 CAR AND THERE WERE TWO CONVERTERS, EARLY AND LATE BASED ON SPLINE COUNT, AS FOR THE V6 VISE V8 THE YEARS ARE DIFFERENT, YOU HAVE TO TRY ONE OF EACH TO SEA WHAT YOU HAVE, I WOULD SAY THAT THE HOT CAM W/OUT THE HIGH RATIO ROCKERS STILL CRAVES A MINIMUM OF 2K OF A STALL I WOULD SAY, BUT IN YOUR CONFIG I WOULD DETERMINE MY USE OF THE TRUCK AND BASE THE STALL ON THAT, AND WHAT GM WOULD SAY AND YOU CANT GO WRONG.
