Pedal Differences?
I just bought a clutch pedal assembly off E-bay for my T5 swap and now I find out that over the years the pedal and left-hand brace part numbers differ. The unit I bought is from a '87 Camaro, I have an '85 T/A. Will this assembly fit? I just know it's going to interfere with something underneath
Also, how tight should the fit be between the long pivot bolt and pedal spacers? I don't see any signs of excessive wear but the spacer bore diameter is about 1/8 greater than the bolt's.

It should work. The LH brace has a different pn for 87-92 models. I just bought a new set from GM for 4th gen & it fit fine, after I chopped the accelerator pedal bracket off & enlarged the upper 2 brake m/c holes. Sounds like you got the first set of pedals that guy from Colorado was selling. I won the bid on the second set & when I got them they were from an 82 Camaro with mechanical linkage.

Yeah, I did buy them from somebody in Colorado. I thought the 2nd set was from an '85?
I've looked at some pictures and the big diff. seems to be the starter safety switch mounting. Later year's left-hand brackets have to be bent around the new switch location. Doesn't look to be a problem - I'll just have to remember what year the pedals are if I need a new switch.
