torque converter lockup?

Car: 88 Trans am
Engine: high comp vette engine.
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 308
torque converter lockup?
ok my friend told me that there are 2 wires that u could wire together and get the torque converter to lockup in to sencond gear he said all 700r4s have this. My question is where are these wires at? there under the dash thats what he said what color are they? does anyone know what im talking about.
