Engine: high comp vette engine.
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 308
color of wires for tc lockup
i want to put a switch in to lock up the torque converter i heard that its good for 2nd gear scratch. when i got this car with the old engine it use to chirp second running on 5 cyclinders now that the 350 is in it wont even shift hard just nice and soft like a cadillac. so i dont know what will fix this im hoping this will. any ideas. please help i heard this will hurt the tranny dramasticly!!!

The TCC has nothing to do with speed of the shifts. Locking up the TCC under full power will burn the clutch out. You problem sounds more like worn friction parts in the trans.
