i have an 88 GTA 350 and would like to swap the 700r4 out with a th350. i did a search and didnt really find what i was lokkin for so i figured i would ask now. is it possible to swap trans's and still retain my stock digital dash and everything? if so, how would i achieve this, and is there a wiring harness avalibleor anything that would help it go smoothly. st would rather go witht he th350 due to it being lighter and being able tohandle more power..

You'll have to find out what specifically from that digital dash works in conjunction with the transmission. I got no idea because I'm a Camaro guy that dash might have something I dont know about. If it were me the speedo would come to mind, either VSS (electric) or Cable Driven. The only other electrical connection on my stock 700R4 was the torque converter plug for the ECM, had nothing to do with the dash. I disconnected it and used a zip tie to hold it up under the chassis when I swapped my TH350 in.

 

yea, i'm not too sure what it has, but the b&m trans has a electric 700r4 speedo and a standard speedo, but that is the only one i have seen like that....mostlikely i will go to pro-built trans's if i have to buy a 700r4 to retain the electic speedo....but i am still looking into the possibilities of using a th350 with the speeo..so if anyone else may know how it can be done please let me kno
