Trans-Go part number

In a different thread, I was told by Pro-Built that the Trans-Go performance kit, can be used to eliminate the 4th gear accumulator in the case. I have looked and there are a few different kits from Trans-go and they don't specifically give enough information on which kit he is talking about. I need to buy this kit to finish the tranny, if anyone or if Pro-built reads this can tell me what the Trans-go part number is that would be great.

Thanks

a cheap and easy way to eliminate the 4th gear accumulator is to pound a 1/4" checkball into the accumulator feed hole @ the bottom of the case and invert the spring piston assembly. i did this to many 700's and 4th can actually be felt when engaging.

the transgo kit that has the plug, for forth accum, is the transgo 2-3 HD reprogramming kit. it offers alot more than just that. i recommend the probuilt kit as his setup offers nice part throttle shifts and firm wot shifts opposed to firm shifts all the time.

I don't work on transmissions alot so go easy on me, but what is a 4th gear accumulator, what's it do, why is it good to block it off. Sounds interesting because i was going to get a trans-go shift kit and it might be a viable option for me.

the 4th gear accumulator is used to soften the engagement of 4th. blocking the accumulator on 4th is a good thing because it speeds up the engagement of 4th and lessens the amount of time for forth to engage. it will increase the life of the foward clutches. besides 4th on the 700 needs all the help it can get.

So what I gather from you Mystikkal_69 is that the Trans-go kit is not needed and I can mearly block the oil passage off to the 4th acc and it will take care of the problem? But then you also say to put the piston and spring back in? If the hole is blocked off then why put the spring and piston back in the hole? The problem that occurs with the accumulators is when the bores and pistons are scar'd cannot hold the fluid pressure needed for the clutch packs and then the tranny burns. My foward clutch packs burnt up and its due to the acc bores and pistons going to $*it.

the spring and acuumulator do not have to be put back in, but i did so just because the sk-700jr and the 2-3HD say to do so. the trans will work fine without the accumulator/spring assm in there at all.

just pound the bb in the case 4th accumulator and be done with it. if the 1-2 accumulator pistion bore is scored replace it with another since those are easily interchangeable. v-6 or v8.
