Just a little curious. i am installing a tremec 3550 in my iroc behind a healthy 406. wanted to get some, it's strong as an ox, or weak as a twig stories.

 

I've put 467lb/ft to the rear wheels with my TKO. Should be at or slightly above 500 at the engine.

 

485hp / 575 ft lbs @ rear wheels here through a TKO. Tranny is holding up just fine. I do need to fix my synchros as the 1-2 shift is occasionally rough. Mike Fortes told me that this is not uncommon from shifting these 'too fast'. I never have a problem with normal driving... only when the adrenaline is flowing.

There is another guy just north of me running a 3550 behind a 427 BBC in the same situation... no tranny breakage but same issue with synchros.

I am also using a pro 5.0 shifter which was a nice upgrade.
