remove 4 bolts retaining the rear u-joint, pull out the front yoke out of the trans and get ready for a flood of trans fluid out the back of the trans.
Yeah make sure you keep your face away from the tailshaft of the trans when the driveshaft comes out. Last one I took out was somewhat stuck, had to lay a certain way to get leverage (which happened to put my face under the tailshaft) and BAM all in the face when it finally came free. Stupid!! hahahaha
Also make sure you're carefull with the U-joint when the driveshaft is out, if the caps come off all those little pins might fall out, real PITA to put those back in right.

Ya know,
If u have the rear of the car only, jacked up far enought o pull the driveshaft or rear end easily, you shouldnt get anythign on u fluid wise.
Just get it way up in the air safely and u wont have to worry about any leaks.
Course this only counts if u have the parts on hand.
U can pull it from the rear and swing it out of the way on blocks or jackstnad and just tie it up to the car even.
leave it in, just support it and it works too, no messy mess
later
