Car: 1968 chevy truck, 85 z/28
Engine: 355, 355
Transmission: 700r4, 350turbo
what gear ratio do i have?
i have a 85 Z/28 with a H.O 305 TPI and a 700r4 trans. is there any #'s on the housing that will give me the ratio? i know it's not a posi. but is a 4 wheel disc brake car.

you need to pull the cover to see what it has, the ratio is stamped on the ring gear, or you can count teeth and do the math. tags and codes don't mean much other than what it had leaving the factory.
