It is time for a new clutch, but the real question is what kind to get? My car is a 1992 Camaro RS V8 (mostly stock 305). It is mostly driven mostly on the street, but I would like to run the ¼ mile in it every now and then. I would like some suggestion on what type and brand of clutch/pressure plate to get. Also are the clutch kits a better idea (other than price) or should I get the parts separate. I would like to spend $300 or less for it.

 

i had a zoom in my tpi 305 it was bored had a cam and falttops pistons and headers and it worked great and when i blow the motor up i sold it and the guy that bought it still says it works good. it was some type of organic on one side and kevlar on the other. ran the car at the track often and never had a problem. i actually just bought another zoom clutch yesterday for my new motor and trans it's kevlar on both sides so i know this one should be good too. i go with what works for me and they hold up and are cheaper then centerforce and it comes all in a kit with pressure plate, disc and throwout bearing.
