will a 4 speed muncie bolt up to an 87 t/a auto?

 

yes it will bolt to block but you will have to get a flywheel for a 87 engine if it is a one piece rms it will take a different flywheel than the engine that the tranny came from because it was most likely from a two piece rms and they balance different i dont really dont know about the trans mount or driveshaft muncies i have have 27 spline not sure how many spline your trans has and i belive the muncie is shorter which you will have to get a new driveshaft or have one built and have to get the clucth and brake pedals and the muncies i have both are manual clutches not hyd. dont know if you can convert them to hyd.

 

With the right bellhousing it will. Mechanical clutch linkage would be the easiest to hook up, but you would have locate all the parts from a 82-83 f body. Hydraulic could be done, but tricky & expensive. A T-5 setup won't work & a hydraulic TO bearing or custom built slave setup is necessary.
