My trans also seems to down shift kind of hard as i am almost stopped. is this normal?

Axle/Gears: Moser 9"/4.11 Trac-Lok

Stock or built trans? A built trans will down shift hard. Stock, it could be your idle speed is too high or a valve body malfunction.
