700r4 help

i was on the bord awhile back and some ones selling something that i think was made by b&m that let you just floor it and when your in 3rd and wot you dont have to let off abit to go into fourth anyone know where i can get that part?Now my camaro's down and going to be rebuilding the 700r4 and since im rebuilding it i figured this would be a good install

yah they do make something just like that but, it's not a good idea to use it....

You're not able to shift in to od because, of the fact that it isn't strong enough to take the abuse from factory. I'd reccomend against it and just stop driving so fast (j/k).

funny, the corvette 700's and the IROC 700's(i think) were made with this mod from the factory.

if you are going to rebuild the tranny, i would recomend using a transgo shift kit to correct some of the factory flaws and use the kit that transgo sells for the 3-4 wot upshift. stay away from the B&M set-up.

i was planing to uses a transgo shift kit and im going to top it off with a b&m mega shift just dont like the boot i think a nice leather one would look alot better, thanks for the help

i like the B&M shifter. i have one in my ride. i was referring to the B&M internal stuff. it doesn't really do anything for hte tranny. the transgo setup is great. i love it.

The common belief is GM did not put the 3/4 upshift valve in most cars because the 3-4 clutch pack is a weak link. I can believe that. The police cars got it and the vettes too. I presume they made the exception for these because they knew they would be pushed to higher speeds. I often wonder why the police cars and vettes did not get upgraded 3-4 clutch packs. They did not though.

secretly they want us to be able to drive like we stole the car. and have a chance with the cops and the vettes.

does anyone know if you can replace the shifter boot though?with a leather one?
