call me a dumbass or whatever. i just drove 300 miles round trip to get this rear end. it was out of a 86 ta, i even helped pull it. i got it home, went to pull the cover off and tada, is a 9 bolt. it is a posi that seems to work fine, but its the 2.77 carrier.
how bad is this gonna slow me down. ive got a built 383, should put 450-500 ft/lbs with a t56. this car isnt gonna be a drag strip special, mostly street driver. should i even put this in my car or should i look for something else and chalk it up to the dumbass tax?

Good one!!!

Sorry to have to be the one to tell you; but that's what it is.

With a T-56, you want a 3.73 or 4.10, for best results. I only have the stock gears in my car (3.73) which were plenty with the T-5, but with the T-56 swap, it could use more.
