Rear End Swap
Are There any rear end swaps for an 84 Trans Am that will bolt in, with no/little modification. I need to beef up the rear end for a 383 Stroker. Someone told me that a rear out of a 93 camaro will fit but im not sure. Need ifo...thanks.

The rear out of a 93 is not significantly different from your 84. It has 28 spline axles and is about 1¾" wider on each side. But it uses exactly the same ring and pinion, as well as lots of other parts.
There are NO bolt-ins from other cars. You can either strengthen your existing one (weld the tubes, use a solid pinion spacer, get a better carrier with 28-spline axles, upgrade the axles, use a girdle cover); get a 9-bolt which is somewhat stronger, but very hard to find parts for especially since Miles at 9bolt.com has largely got out of that business (too much talk about "what I'm gonna do someday", not enough money); or go with an aftermarket 9" or 12-bolt with a housing made specifically for one of these cars. If you can fab stuff, it's possible to make your own stuff to put a junk 9" in your car; but stock 9" rears are garbage, little better than what you've got, the good thing about the 9" is that the aftermarket has taken care of that.
