I use a hammer and a vise. You either know how to change them or you don't.

If you have a big enough vice. You can use it as a press with a couple sockets. Use a larrge enough socket to fit on the yoke/flange and a smaller one to fit inside theyoke/flange and on the cap of the u joint and press it out.

eh i can hardly remember now. I tried a hammer and vice...no budge. I had to break out a torch, heat it up then the cups just fell out i beilive. Something with factory u-joints had something in them that had to be heated up to get loose? Putting them back in was simple though. Its been quite a few months sence i did mine.

Steve is correct if you have factory installed u joints. You have to burn them out as they have a plastic retainer. Dont think you can beat or press them out. replacement u joints will have internal retaining clips.

the factory ones on a 3g are like that. they have to be heated up and they ooze out then they just come apart but im kinda working on a 93 mazda b2200 so thats why i asked whats the best way to do it. if it had been my gta it would have been simple
