Ok, I have a transmission that came with the Formula when I bought it and was told it was a 700 R4, I compared it to the old tranny, which is a 700 R4 and noticed it was considerably shorter which led me to believe it is a Turbo 350. This transmission was rebuilt before the previous owner bought it to put in the car because the original tranny went bad, but he never put it in and lost interest which is now why I have the car. As you may have read I am having a 700 R4 rebuilt and the shop is going to take the original as a core charge, but they may be willing to buy the other tranny (turbo 350) as well. I was wondering how much do you think I will get out of this transmission? I know that they will probably tear it down and rebuild it themselves even though it is rebuilt, but even just the core has to be worth something so what do you think is a maximum price and a minimum price I will get out of them? Thanks

 

Most trans shops buy cores in bulk from local boneyards. Do not be suprised if he only offers you $25 each for them. You will likely get more selling them privately.
