Car: '87 SC, 91 RS
Engine: 305 4 bbl, 305 TBI
Transmission: 5 spd, 700 R4
Need help with a 700r4
My transmission went out on my way home...it's a 700r4.
Here's the symptoms:
Reverse-ok
Manual first-ok
All other positions (2,3,OD)- the car will not shift out of first, but will coast.
Pump? Valve body? Any ideas.

Definitely a broken governor gear...I'll get a new one in the morning and see what happens-
