Advice on staying auto

84 trans am with a 305 5.0L carb.
120k and a 700 R4 auto transmission

Been driving manual all my life, mostly by coincidence.

My experience in transmission work is very limited and I was wondering if it is worth it to swap to a manual?
If I were to swap would it be cheaper to buy it complete or build it, or have someone do it, or any combination?

-any advice is appreciated

If you like a manual, put a manual in it. Run a search on the swap. It has been covered alot. Lots of good info in the archives.
