I found a guy on a ebay who is selling all of the transmission parts to swap my trans-am from auto to manual. My only problem is that the stuff comes out of a V6 car. I am wondering if this is a t5 transmission, and if it is, is it the same one that came in the V8 cars. Also even if the tranny didn't work would all of the other parts work with a V8 T5? Any help would be greatly appreciated, only a few more days until the auction ends.

Yes it is a T-5.

No it's not the same.

No it will not work.

Don't bother.

It is not for swapping YOUR car from auto to stick; it's for swapping a 6-cyl car from auto to stick.

Different bell housing and flywheel, so you would still need to find a those for a V8. The hydraulics are the same, shifter same.
You can get an aftermarket 10 spline clutch disc/pressure plate, and then the transmission would work. The gearing on the V6 T5s is different from the V8s.
Also what year is the car it is coming from?
People say the V6 version is so much weaker, but I have known people to use them behind V8s.
It's also said that the T5 can't live behind a TPI 350, but mine held up fine for years with a stack of timeslips from the track.
