Speedo Calibration Question
Speedo Calibration Question
Sorry for asking a fourth gen question, but a buddy of mine has a 95 LT1 formula that he's switching the rearend from 2.73 to 3.23, and he wants to know if he has to change something in the ecm for the speedo to read correctly with the new gears, or if the computer will automatically calibrate to the new ratio? If anyone can chime in on this, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Yes, the PCM may be reprogrammed. In 95, all A4s had the same reluctor and VSS and M6 transmissions had their specific reluctor and VSS, it was done by programming.

He needs either a computer reprogram, or one of those handheld programmers by Hypertech and such. And I have to lock this because its not thirdgen.
