V6 V8 T5
What is the difference between a t5 from say a 94 3.4l v6 and a t5 from a v8 car? can v6 t5 be bolted to v8 bellhousing?

The V6 T-5 will have a different Input shaft on it, to match the V6 output shaft. Read a swap article, and it will detail the parts you need. The input shaft can be swapped fairly easily on these units

A thirdgen v6 T5 can be made to work easily by grindind down the input shaft and using a v6 clutch disc. However the v6 ratios will get on your nerves sooner or later. Also from what I have been able to find, the 4th gen T5 does not bolt to the thirdgen v8 bellhousing.
If you want to go with a thirdgen v6 t5 you can read the tech article in my sig. But I would recommend saving and finding a v8 T5 just so you have the better ratios.
