Replacing TV cable w/ trans full of fluid. TV above fluid level or below?
Hi guys, I have to replace the TV cable on my 700R4 because I used the wrong length TV cable when I dropped the motor in (V8 swap in V6 car, car is running and driving now except TV is too short and limits throttle movement, I used an unknown TV cable and it is the wrong one). The transmission is completely full of fluid. If have the car up on 4 jackstands and it is level, and I remove the TV cable, is that port below the fluid level and tons of ATF is going to dump everywhere, or is that port above the fluid level and I will not make a mess? It looks like the TV port may be slightly below the fluid level with the car off and I am going to get a bunch of quarts of fluid dumping out that I have to catch. If someone knows for sure and has done this please let me know! I hate getting ATF all over the garage floor when I am not prepared for a huge fluid discharge.
just dont have your face pasted up unda da floh bodes and u b ok, haus.

Jack up the pass side only and put jack stands under it. With the cat tipped, it will lose little or no fluid to change the cable.

I changed mine with the front on jackstands and did not lose a drop of fluid and it was full. the biggest PITA is actually going to be getting that little wire fron the insde of the transmission to go through the hole of the TV cable with the trans still fully up in the car... not alot of room for fingers lol.
