OK, well I just picked up my newest project, an 87' TA. Right now it has a blown (as in not working lol) 305 and 700R4. Gonna be dropping in a new motor soon, and trying to decide on what transmission to have in it. I will be doing some road course racing with the car, some drag racing, and alot of fun trips around florida (or elsewhere). The motor will probably be putting out somewhere in the 330-350HP range at the tires, and at the dragstrip will be running a 150shot of the N20 on it . Should I rebuild the 700R4 and put it back in, or should I switch to a T5. I might go T56, but right now the question is between a T5 and a 700R4. Opinions?

 

Both have pro's and cons. I would use the one you prefer. I don't care for a stick, most people do though.
