Strange 12 Bolt - Fluid??

I have a Strange 12 bolt rear with their "super strength" posi unit. What weight oil should I use and what kind of posi additive? Any brand recommendations? Thanks.

i use M1 or amsoil gear oil think the weight is 85w-120 or 85w-90. if it has clutches gm is the only additive i'd put in it.

just curious, how much did that rear set you back with that posi unit, and what axles did you get? im about to buy basically the same thing. is the super strength unit necessarily for a street car under 500 HP or is it more of a drag unit?

I bought the rear end a couple years ago, so I don't really remember. I think the whole thing was around 2 grand, and I know the super strength posi was around 200. I believe the axles were 33 spline. The stronger posi probably isn't necessary for under 500 HP, but I'm between 400-450 and I got it anyways just to be safe.

Is there an advantage of going to a heavier/lighter weight?

I have the same rear with the super strength posi and I run the AmsOil heavier weight. It has the friction additive built into it.

The rear set me back about 2300 about 5 years ago. That was with the upgraded posi, 4.11 gears and 33 spline axles.

Hope that helps
