okay, so I recently switched my 88 tbi 700 out with a built 83 700.

ever since it's been in the car, if the rpms go below 500, I start hearing this weird grinding sound from the tranny, but if i go above 700 or so, no grinding.

if it sits at idle, i'll hear one, maybe two bumps a minute.

any ideas? I wanna say that I didn't quite tighten the bolts that hold the flexplate to the tq enough, but wouldn't that cause more problems? would that even cause the grinding?

it may help to note that the tranny runs fine, no problems at all. it just does it.

can anyone help?
