i have just aquired an 82' trans am with the lu5 crossfire motor backed with the th200c. i got the car to drive often, if not daily and the three speed auto doesn't rank high in good gas mileage area. i want to take the 700r4 out of my 90 caprice and put in the T/A. what all do i need to accomlish this? im a body tech by trade, and can fabricate well. i don't want to spend a ton of money on it, because i will eventually do the ls1 swap. any help would be greatly appriciated.
