If i switched from TPI to carb in a 88 Iroc and elminated the computer. what do i have to do to get the lockup converter to function properly. Thanks

 

im now just stumbling across the same situation, i beleive that a manual switch can be put into to play but not sure, maybe somebody can clear it up for us

 

do a search or read the tech article on how to manual lock-up the tc.

 

You can either use a toggle switch or an aftermarket setup that uses vac/speed.

If you can find an older canadian version of the car they were non CC and used a small vac switch mounted by the brake booster to operate the lockup.

In either case search it!
