Best off with a limited slip. lockers are for loose dirt and straight line racing.

A locker or spool on the street will snap axles like twigs in corners.

unless you're going to upgrade axles and other hardware, don't try running a locker on the street. Stick with a posi/limited slip unit. - That said, I really like my True-trac.

All it takes is one time for that thing to stick locked when you pull a corner and you will be picking up your tire and axle out of someones front lawn!

locker

I run a Richmond lock-right in my IROC after I gernaded the stock gears/posi/bearings. I ran it for a summer and didn't have any problems. It makes the odd noise every once in awhile but from what I've seen thats how lockers are. It also makes a ratcheting noise when I turn and it unlocks, I don't mind. It hooks hard, it'll smoke both tires, and its never slipped or made any problems yet.

i've run detriot lockers in my mudding trucks for years on the streets and had no issues whatsoever, the only problem is getting on the throttle in a turn will lock up the locker, but if you don't do that then you'll hear the faint sound of a rachet as you turn, but it's not that bad.
