Just purchased a '89 Firebird TA. One thing I noticed right away is that the automatic shifter seems to stick when going through the positions. Don't know much about this, so maybe it is a simple lubrication issue? Could it be a bushing issue?

Also, in relation to this, the only way I know what position I am at is to look at where the shifter is in relation to the position indicators. I don't know if there is supposed to be a light that highlights which position you are in as well. Just wondering if there is and maybe the light needs to be changed.
