Hi All new here i have been a camaro freak for along time. But i have a few questions about switching from 700r4 to a 5 speed.

I got a camaro from the place i work and not sure whats in it. I belive it's an 85 Z28 that has the 5 speed that i want to switch to my 87 Iroc.

What im tryin to figure out is will it bolt up and what problems i will run into doing this swap. The other thing is, it has a new 350 block thats bored 30 over i want to swap also, but doing the trans first. So im not sure the trans is stock. I belive the 85's only came with 305's.

My Iroc is an 87 with a 350.

 

Yes the trans will bolt up to the motor but the flywheel is a different problem. As long as you get the all the hydraulics for the clutch and the crossmember, there should be no problem.
