trans mount...

Get a floor jack and jact up on the tailshaft of the trans, you will most likely find that it lifts off of the x-member.

i looked at the trans mount it only has a slight tear in it

it looks like this [V] thats the design of the mount it doesnt look like that V in the middle is a tear just design but should it be solid? [ ]

but can u push on the trans by hand to see if it will move? or have to use a jack? it didnt really seem to even budge by hand i guess its time to switch to a poly-type mount for the hell of it... **** stupid rubbers only good for not having unwanted kids not preformance parts lol....

well it depends how strong you are and if your gut isnt too big that you cant get under the car!

Personally i am able to move mine when it breaks, but then again im not quite a 50lb weakling either. Remember when your lifting the back of the motor too.

For the sake of not ripping yourself a new **** hole just use a jack!

apparently bad u-joints can cause a clunk when going into power.

how's your TA mount?

U joints can give you a nice clunk when going into gear. and if your slowing down then hit the gas they can clunk.

checked front susp = ok
checked u-joints = tight and greased = ok
checked sway bar = ok
checked torque arm = questionable unknown results???
checked rubber bushings = some showing age but not damaged = ok

Torque arm bushings worn from years of work and abuse ?????

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
checked trans mount
So, since you checked it by substituting a new one (the only valid check), it still does it even with the replacement?
