I am trying to figure out what kind of differential I have?

I know I have stock 2.73 gears in the back but what kind of a diff do I have? Is it LSD? Or non posi?

I plan on getting 3.23s or 3.42s within this month and I need to know if I should be getting a new differential on top of that....

Jack up the diff and see what happens when you turn one wheel. If the other one turns the same direction then you have a posi.

Look at the RPO list in the car. If it has G80, you have a posi.

The only TRUE method is to remove the diff cover and look. But, I doubt it's a LSD - not many RS's came with auto tranny, 273 gears, and LSD.
